The High Value Chemicals from Plants Network (HVCfP) is one of 13 Phase I Networks in Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy (NIBB) funded by BBSRC in 2014.

In November 2018 it was announced that BBSRC would fund six Phase II NIBB for 5 years from January 2019. One of these Networks, High Value Biorenewables (HVB), is the successor to HVCfP. HVB offers an exciting opportunity to widen the scope of Network activities and expertise beyond plants to encompass any biorenewable material as a basis for the discovery, development and application of bio-based chemicals, tools and platform technologies. Details of all six Phase II NIBB are available at https://bbsrc.ukri.org/news/people-skills-training/2018/181101-pr-11m-to-fund-industrial-biotechnology-and-bioenergy-networks-announced/

  • A new website will be launched to coordinate HVB activities in Spring 2019.
  • All the resources developed by HVCfP remain freely available on this website.
  • To keep up to date with HVB developments, please check this website regularly or email hvb-network@york.ac.uk to be added to our mailing list.
