GCRF workshop

The HVCfP Network received an award from BBSRC to hold a Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) workshop “Scoping the potential for industrial biotechnology (IB) interventions to add value to non-food and dual purpose crops”. This workshop took place in York in December 2016 and the report is available to download: HVCfP GCRF workshop report final

One of the original objectives of the HVCfP GCRF workshop was to consider a delegation to Africa to explore the workshop’s outputs in context and to share the capacity-building recommendations. Supported by an award from the University of York GCRF funds, Professor Katherine Denby organised a delegation of York scientists to visit the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Zambia centre in March 2017. A brief summary of this visit is available: HVCfP GCRF Appendix Zambia delegation
